Kenneth “Ken” Howard, 76, of Lambertville, MI, died Friday, December 2, 2016, in his home.  Born August 5, 1940, in Toledo, OH, he was the son of John C. and Miranda (Parsons) Howard.  A US Army veteran, he married Bonnie G. Hansen on December 4, 1961. Ken retired from Ace Hardware in Perrysburg, OH. Prior, he was a millwright for the Former Dundee Cement.  He was a member of the V.F.W., 9656, Lambertville, where he served proudly on the military honor guard, American Legion, 514, Ida and was active in the Meals on Wheels Program at the Bedford Senior Center and attended Bedford Alliance Church. He had also served a number of years as a volunteer fireman for the Bedford Township Fire Department. Ken enjoyed farming, traveling, building houses, but most of all, spending time with his family. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Bonnie; children, Mark, Karen and Kent Howard; Sister, Pansey Sayre; grandchildren, Brian, John, Jacob, Kelsey, Haley, Logan, and John Paul and 4 great grandchildren; nephews, Bobby and Billy White, who he considered as sons.  Ken was preceded in death by his son, James Howard; 3 brothers, Champ, Red & Josh Mullins and 7 sisters, Zula, Naomi, Avis, Minnie, Elizabeth, Violet and Evelyn.

Visitation will be from 3-8 pm, Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where the V.F.W., 9656 will hold services Tuesday at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in the funeral home.  Reverend Robert Hinz, officiating. Interment will follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery, where he will be honored with military services. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.  www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
